In this class we will be continuing the texture layer buildup from last class and talk about creating several different materials. How to make a low-polygon model look like a highly detailed model? This will be the introduction to my proven process with substance painter in building up materials layer by layer so we can truly understand the software. Then, an overview of the Substance Painter UI and tools. UV mapping, understanding of normals and geometry, and exporting your file to get it ready to go in Substance Painter. This is a 30 minute introduction to the class where I get to meet you! We will go over what we will learn and what we need in order to be successful in this class.

To help us understand the process, I will provide each of you with a game-ready next-gen 3D model that we will bring to life. This class will be in four 2 hour sessions where I will go over texturing a prop from start to finish, no stone unturned! These lessons are geared towards students who are familiar with the basics of 3D, and want to learn Substance Painter. I have taught Lighting and Texturing at university, but I'd like to reach a broader audience of artists.
